Obama Backed Mosque Construction

U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday backed construction of a proposed mosque and Muslim cultural center near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in New York - a project opposed by U.S. conservatives and many New Yorkers.

Obama made the comments at an annual dinner in the White House State Dining Room celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Earlier this month a New York city agency cleared the way for construction of the community center, which will include a prayer room, two blocks from the site of the Sept. 11 attacks, popularly known as "Ground Zero."

It was already much more than that, sparking debate around the country as top Republicans including Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich announced their opposition. So did the Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish civil rights group.

Conservative politicians such as former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich, a Republican former Speaker of the House of Representatives, also have called for the project to be scrapped.

So, The Bieber Bandz is Not Another False Rumor

Animal Bracelets Blog reported about the deal between Silly Bandz with Justin Bieber to start making his own Silly Bandz.

A few weeks before, I already heard people asking about this bandz thingy, and I thought it just another Justin Bieber rumor. But today, it seems that the once-thought-a-rumor is not a rumor at all.

In the official announcement, a Silly Bandz representative said the biggest artist in the world had teams up with the biggest fashion accessory in the world. And by saying that, they assume themselves as the fashion accessory giant(I don't care), and Bieber as the biggest artists in the world(Huh?).

Signing Justin Bieber to produce an official line of Justin Bieber Silly Bandz is a huge win for Silly Bandz, as there were many bandz companies competing for the license. A Silly Bandz representative called it, "the biggest thing Silly Bandz or any other Bandz have ever announced."

The Justin Bieber Silly Bandz Pack contains six different shapes, which include Justin Bieber, Justin Bieber Arrow Through Heart Logo, Headphones, Justin Bieber Cap, Heart Music Note, and I Heart JB rubber bands. The Justin Bieber Silly Bandz Pack is scheduled to be released in stores worldwide in the next two to three weeks.
